What does it take to hear yourself?
Circus
Today's fast-paced life forces us to react faster than we feel. In this constant flux, many fail to understand themselves. It's increasingly difficult for people to discern where the social mask ends and their true self begins.
The "Circus" project explores internal human conflicts—the contradiction between who we appear to others and what's actually going on inside us.

Today, the speed of life forces us to react faster than we feel. We constantly switch between tasks, roles, and expectations, trying to fit in with the world. In this flux, it's becoming increasingly difficult to stop and understand our own feelings.
But what happens when we stop playing our role?
And how long does it take us to finally hear ourselves?

"Circus" is an attempt to look beyond the outer appearance and discover the person who exists on the other side of the mask.
For the "Circus" project, I deliberately chose an expressive brushwork style. Some images appear deliberately unfinished—as if the brush had stopped halfway, leaving the image in a state of constant movement and internal tension.

This visual incompleteness reflects the state of a person on the verge of emotional exhaustion. Behind a social mask, they try to continue playing their role, living up to expectations, and maintaining external control, but the internal tension gradually becomes more and more palpable.
Through this technique, I want to draw attention to the need to stop and listen to yourself—to your own feelings, desires, and inner voice. Perhaps self-acceptance, rather than constantly trying to meet external expectations, is the first step toward inner harmony and balance.
